As a last unproductive blurb. Here is a more than tentative-costume schedule (or at least what I got so far)

7:25 "oh crap!" sold out.

Man, I am never going to be able to land an Artist Alley outside of Fanime....

OK! This means more spiffy cosplays!

So as I've passed it by a few, I'm trying my hand at this upcoming Another Dream Touhou compilation.  It was technically due last Thursday to be released this Thursday. I think only, like, two artist (one being I) got it in on time, so the deadline was extended by a week.

Health is but a cough away from being back to normal, but at least I got a couple people sick before finishing up.

As I've messaged most (all?) of my teachers, this week I came down with a pretty aggressive cold. I mean, I'm used to casual sickness, but this one's been a doozy .
I went to, like, one class for the entirety of the week.  Called in sick to work, I do suppose the rest won't be SO bad...
Next week is going to be the biggest pain playing catch up, and doing two weeks worth of assignments...or something like that.

Otherwise, going to start to try to put out work more often. Not to mention all the cosplay-related stuff that's been piling up.  Needless to say, I'll probably be turning down most offers to do something/hangout (like I don't do that already).  Against that logic, though, every two weeks I aim for a San Francisco trip.....to go to the Baby the Stars Shine Brigh/Black Peace Now to blow my paycheck on thing we all know I don't need. But I love it so.

Currently focused on:

5th Aid (webcomic)
Yaoicon costumes
art (in general and collaborative)

Apartment is at 40% completion.

So, this past weekend was time to move into our new place. Mind you, it was moving stuff, not starting to live there.
My bros lent me a huge helping hand.  It's no likeI love them or anything...I'm just, uhh.... grateful...and stuff(tsundere enough for you??)

The day was hot, sweaty and full of male grunting, but we got it all done in record time.  By now, the other two are swimming in the junk we left behind. We'll be jumping back and forth the next weekends, but we'll begin 'living' there aug14th, or something like that.

I'm tired and I hate everything! (no I don't)

highlights:

we stuffed all my figures in a friend's (pictured) car. We hopped he would have gotten pulled over.
That was Saturday. Sunday I met with the circle and made good discussion, and some bad ones too. That'll be NOSBOATed later.

Will update more later, with room layouts, my new girl, and other random crap you'd probably not care about~

hmm, things are looking pretty bleak right now.
My brother decided he didn't  want to work on costumes anymore, so I've been spending the week trying to figure out power tools.  And I'm as smooth with them as I am with women (i.e. its been a hard week)
I'm not getting much time to sew, since everyday is work and events afterwards, and this weekend we'll be going to San Diego. (don't know if I'll have internet)

As a result...I'm really excited!
The pressure is amazing. Will I make it? Will I fail? A strong opponent that must be defeated!

I'm using what time I can to finish up that China and Roku, those are pretty much certain.   All the rest I am gambling on my brother's Takeda. Kenshin doesn't look like he'll pull through for this con, so I'll have to think up a costume for Saturday.

Otherwise, to those going, I hope everyone will have a chance to make some fun memories. To those that aren't, perhaps see you at the next con (which might be Yaoicon unless we spontaneously decide to go to SacAnime

As much as I know this should have gotten started long ago, AX get-stuff-done-athon is about to begin.  That being said, moving is just about done.  It was a lot harder than many of us set it up to be, but at least that's behind us.  And a quick blurb before I actually begin to be productive.

aaah, what can I say...my parent's house is nice (clean), and I do get to enjoy my mother's culinary delights on a daily basis, so I guess I don't have much to complain about.  Though, for certain, I miss the cozy lifestyle I had but a few weeks ago.

Anywho, AX stuff. There is two costumes that have top priority, and that's Takeda Shingen for my brother, and a genderswapped Reiuji Utsuho

If, for any god given reason, I finish them two with anytime to spare, I will focus my efforts towards a Uesugi Kenshin and a new Roku for myself:


On other news, I might get a job soon. Not that I agree with the idea of working, but I imagine rice cookers and kittens won't be paying for themselves.

Fri:
Settle into hotel, change into Lambo, go to AA with miluda . Sales were so-so on Friday, but fun to see many people.  Had to spend the rest of the evening finding ways to get back to the house to pick up some left behind stuff.  Thanks to my buddy Alan, you big gay yellow egg.
Good end.

Sat:
The big one! After some morning shenanigans, changed into my Mokou costume, and rushed to AA.  Pretty active,  but a shame I lost 4 hours or sales due to Touhou gathering, photoshoot with miluda , sakura_nek0 ,rabidpotato  and moondabor on camera, then straight to masquerade....though I don't regret it.  Got passes from my more than awesome neighbour chloe enfantin-chloe.deviantart.com/ and got to seat with some pretty cool people.
I won't accept anyone saying this masquerade was anything but good, because as opposed to most ones that are a bared wasteland of suck with a few good skits in between, this one had some well spaced and numerous enjoyable skits to make me NOT want to kill myself at the end.  A flurry of events following including the best motherfuckin taco I've ever eaten! And was about to end an otherwise awesomeday 'till I got served a crap sandwich that caused a lot of problems. Resolved, but had heavy impact.
Bad end.

Sun:
Change to Kaito. Go to AA. Was still pretty down.  Made a fool of a decision and turned away lots of offers to do something after AA, so I spend the rest of the evening alone 'till sleep times. Sales were good. Met a Kaito twin.
Neutral end.

Mon:
Dragged out of bed, got some Lambo stuff (not full) and headed out. Sales were crazy! Its like people don't want their money. Ended well enough with getting a ride home with a stop at Curry Hose for some masala curry.  lol don't have housekeys, wait an hour for my roomie.  Die tired.
Dissapointing end.

Overall, I met some pretty amazing people (most of which were ravendarkwings 's friends...hur hur hur) which motivate me to try to be less unamazing myself.
Moving this week, and then its straight to AX work!  How are you doing?!
